Ice Bears
The Ice Bears in-house travel hockey program is designed for players with experience in the sport who are ready to take their game to the next level. The Ice Bears Hockey regular season takes place in the Fall/Winter with an additional Spring season.
Ice Bears Youth Travel Hockey League
The co-ed Ice Bears teams compete against other organizations as part of the Northwest Hockey League (NWHL). The Ice Bears is a no-cut program with teams divided based on evaluations of player skill and balancing teams.
Registration
- Spring Registration: January-February
- Fall Registration: July-August
How to Join Ice Bears
Any player who has NEVER played an Ice Bears season before will be required to attend a Pre-Evaluation Skate. Please contact hockey@pdop.org to set up your player’s evaluation.
Ice Bears Academy
Ice Bears Academy (IBA) helps prepare your skater for the transition from Hockey Academy to the Ice Bears travel hockey program. Participate in multi-station skill practices and participate in cross-ice games to develop in-game awareness, hockey IQ, and apply skills. Plus, a special classroom portion reviews hockey concepts, rules, and terms through videos, worksheets, and games to better prepare your child for Ice Bears.
Northwest Hockey League
The Ice Bears compete in the Northwest Hockey League. The NWHL and the Ice Bears focus on balanced playing time for everyone, with an emphasis on skill development, sportsmanship, and developing a love for the game of hockey.
