Do you have a project you are working on and need help and guidance? Working on zippers, buttons, and other more advanced sewing skills? Bring your project from home and get the advice you need. Sewing machines are available for use. This is not a pattern-making class, but pick one out with the instructor’s help. These classes are all one-day registrations.

Have fun moving and grooving to those songs that simply make you want to jump off your chair and move. After a brief warm-up, 40 minutes of heart-pumping dance to make your brain, heart, and body smile. A perfect mix of cardio fun on a weekday morning. No dance experience is required.

“Mindful Movement” is a holistic wellness class designed to connect the mind and body through physical and reflective exercises. These sessions are led by Marea: an artist, healing circle facilitator, and a compassionate, experienced instructor with a 200-hour Certification in Yoga and a background in both Eastern and Western wellness traditions.
Each session begins gently with Yin, Hatha, and Anusara Yoga, stretch, and core strength exercises. The class then moves away the mat, chair and pilates ball and into creative outlets such as journaling and expressive art exercises. Special attention and care are given for issues such as knee, back, hip pain or mobility restraints. Students will grow their confidence in body awareness, self-reflection, and the subtle changes that come with mindful practice.
Whether you're seeking stress relief, rejuvenation, pain management, or a deeper self-connection, Mindful Movement offers a supportive space for you to grow. All levels are welcome!

This class is for the players wishing to explore the deeper and more subtle aspects of the practice. It is taught from the inside out to inform the body/mind system. This is a resource for those interested in developing endurance, strength, and fluidity in their physical activities. The instructor is an Asian Bodywork Therapist and is qualified to teach the class as a group health and fitness coach. Prior knowledge of tai chi is not necessary but may be helpful. QiGong exercises will be taught as warm-ups. This class is session-based with multiple offerings a year.

In this class we’ll explore ways of shaping lived experience into compelling stories. Each week we’ll discuss an element of craft, explore a new prompt, and engage in open discussion. We’ll also take a tour through the different ways your story can be told — poetry, fiction, memoir, family history, graphic novels, and more. This course is open to beginners as well as those actively working on pieces. Weekly handouts and readings will be provided.

Yoga + QiGong = YoGong fusion which opens your body and breath to fuller vitality. Join us in this moving meditation class covering technical points on how to access and deepen your relationship with your body's energy system. We use flowing, invigorating, and ‘release stagnation’ practices to sensitize the awareness of this subtle relationship. This class is session-based with multiple offerings a year.

PROGRAM DETAIL
“Mindful Movement” is a holistic wellness class designed to connect the mind and body through physical and reflective exercises. These sessions are led by Marea: an artist, healing circle facilitator, and a compassionate, experienced instructor with a 200-hour Certification in Yoga and a background in both Eastern and Western wellness traditions.
Each session begins gently with Yin, Hatha, and Anusara Yoga, stretch, and core strength exercises. The class then moves away the mat, chair and pilates ball and into creative outlets such as journaling and expressive art exercises. Special attention and care are given for issues such as knee, back, hip pain or mobility restraints. Students will grow their confidence in body awareness, self-reflection, and the subtle changes that come with mindful practice.
Whether you're seeking stress relief, rejuvenation, pain management, or a deeper self-connection, Mindful Movement offers a supportive space for you to grow. All levels are welcome!

Join your fellow Bridge enthusiasts for an afternoon of card etiquette and serious gameplay in a relaxing environment. No partner is needed. These are all one-day registrations.

Fridays are for FUN. Sign up to join a lovely group of friends for an afternoon of competition. Scrabble- two to four players score points by placing tiles, each bearing a single letter, onto a game board divided into a 15×15 grid of squares. The tiles must form words that, in crossword fashion, read left to right in rows or downward in columns and are included in a standard dictionary or lexicon.

The 40+ Double Dutch Club was created in 2016 for women aged 40 and above who want an exciting, affordable way to tone, burn calories, and improve their physical and mental health while interacting with other women, reliving positive childhood memories, and creating new ones! We jump Double Dutch, Chinese rope, hopscotch, hula hoop and play all of the games we did on the playground growing up! These are all one-day registrations.

September 26: Learn the fundamentals of pine needle basket weaving by starting a basket using the spiral stitch and raffia as the binding material.
October 3: Continue weaving your basket while learning the figure-eight stitch. Participants will be encouraged to incorporate this decorative technique into their finished piece. And shown how to close/finish their baskets.
Class Description: Learn the art of pine needle basketry in this two-part workshop. Participants will create a coiled basket using coulter & ponderosa pine needles and raffia while learning both spiral and figure-eight stitching techniques. Along the way, you'll gain an appreciation for the history of pine needle weaving and leave with a beautiful handmade basket. No experience is required, and all pine needles have been sourced from California by the instructor.
